“Working at Basepoint has been a lifelong career for me, and it’s a career. It’s not a job. I’ve had the pleasure of working with lots of people for many years, and we’ve been fortunate enough that some of these people have worked with us long enough to retire and the new next generation of people are coming in.”

Brian Aller, Head of Controls Commissioning and Compliance, Employee Owner
“The ESOP model defines our teamwork. Because we are all owners, the ‘not my job’ mentality doesn’t exist here. Whether we’re deep in a complex integration or racing toward a deadline, the collaboration is tight and responsive. There is a level of transparency and trust at Basepoint that is rare—we don’t just work alongside each other; we invest in each other to ensure our external and internal customers are taken care of.”
Tracy Sorensen, Client Consultant, Employee Owner

“One of the best parts about Basepoint is working with and being a part of the incredible Programming team. This team is filled with some of the most knowledgeable, hardworking, and experienced people I have ever met. One of our core values at Basepoint is “One”, and this team is the core definition of that value. There is no other team I would rather be a part of..”

Adler Goodhall , Programmer, Employee Owner
“For me working at Basepoint Building Automations isn’t just a job — it’s a place where you truly feel part of a team that cares about each other and takes pride in what we accomplish together. The culture is built on respect, trust, and people who are always willing to step up and help. There are real opportunities to grow, learn, and challenge yourself, and the employee ownership mindset makes you feel personally invested in our success. It’s motivating to come to work knowing you’re valued, supported, and building something meaningful alongside a strong, committed team.”
Bryan Dalton , Project Manager, Employee Owner

“Basepoint is a place where you’re supported, trusted, and encouraged to grow. The teamwork here is genuine, and being part of an employee-owned company gives our work a meaningful purpose. I’m grateful to be part of a culture that values people as much as performance.”

Shaylene Ballentine , HR Generalist, Employee Owner

“Being part of Basepoint means being part of something greater. As an employee-owned company built on a strong set of core values, we take a lot of pride and ownership in every project, and solution we deliver. Being in the security division has allowed me to take part in solving some complex physical security challenges for our customers. What makes this job enjoyable, is that every facility is unique, and every solution requires collaboration, creativity, and technical expertise from a variety of team members. There’s also real satisfaction in knowing our work helps protect people, property, and operations and that our entire team stands behind it as owners.”

Dustin Heinold , Director of Security Programmers, Employee Owner
“Basepoint has created an environment where people are trusted to lead, grow, and take ownership of their work. The leadership team encourages initiative and collaboration, and there’s a real commitment to continuous improvement. What I value most is the alignment between our culture and our mission. We support our clients with integrity while also investing in our people. Being part of an employee-owned company means your voice matters, and your effort directly impacts the success of the business.”
Joe Skow , Client Solutions Manager, Employee Owner

“I really appreciate the opportunity to contribute to this project, and I’m genuinely excited to help highlight what makes Basepoint such a great place to work. For me, what stands out most is our supportive culture. Mentorship has played a huge role in helping me navigate challenges, and it’s one of the things I value most about being here. I love that at Basepoint, you can truly be yourself, and you never have to look far to find someone willing to help. That sense of encouragement and teamwork has made a meaningful impact on my experience.”

Corey Ware , Client Consultant, Employee Owner

“I enjoyed the team interaction, working with our guys and our customers. I was in the service industry since 1985, and before that, I was a kid working at a filling station. So, the interaction with the public and communicating with people would probably be my favorite part about working at Basepoint.”

Bret Kackley, Retired, Former Employee Owner

“My favorite thing about working at Basepoint has to be the people I work closest with on a day-to-day basis. It’s what keeps me coming back. I know that without them I wouldn’t have the kind of relationships I have with the customers throughout the state.”

Carl Bracken, Client Consultant, Employee Owner

“What I enjoy most about working at Basepoint is my team. I am blessed with working with a team of individuals that work hard, and work together. We: respect one another, push each other for out of the box ideas, communicate with one another and work towards our #1 goal of customer satisfaction. Teamwork is the heart of great achievement.”

Rosie Bernardino , Customer Service Specialist, Employee Owner
